Apple may bring facial recognition to mainstream — The Latest

The iPhone maker is the master at increasing average revenue for each unit. Displays are larger and more durable, and color is brighter. I'm up for contract renewal, and since I'm the kind of person to switch platforms about once a year, I was definitely interested in switching to iOS again by buying the iPhone X. However, that €1159 price tag is way, way beyond the outer limit of my comfort zone. Hats off to you, nerds. Do you think that the Galaxy Note 8 will redeem the company? In just over two years, Apple sold a striking half a billion iPhones.

Tuesday's product event is being held at Apple's new spaceship-style headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Koh Dong-jin, the head of Samsung's mobile division, speaks at the launch of the Galaxy Note 8 at the company's headquarters in Seoul on Wednesday. Apple CEO Tim Cook told his audience.

Indeed, for many potential smartphone owners, the differences in processor, battery size, screen size, SD card slot, RAM, and total on-board storage are secondary factors. So instead of having to use a widget on the phone to see the exact percentage, it automatically shows up onscreen. He doesn't go into detail about what those hurdles might be.

According to a report by The Indian Express, Samsung isn't the only company that is working on these foldable smartphones. The findings showed that iPhone fared better when it comes to fingerprint sensor for login, calls, music and podcasts, search, set-to-vibrate option and Siri. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It's likely the iPhone 8 will retail at the same price if it hasn't been given the limited-edition pricing treatment.

The iPhone X has scrapped Apple's influential Touch ID sensor in favour of Face ID via the new TrueDepth front-facing camera setup, and unlocking your phone looks pretty smooth in Apple's stage demos - but not seamless. However, it seems that we now know the reason for the delay. Of course, it also comes with Samsung's S Pen stylus, while keeping everything else that made the Galaxy S8 such a futuristic and impressive smartphone.

Plans will be available from telcos, that much you can be assured of, but availability is a ways off, with pre-orders from October 27 and availability the following week on November 3.

But even the conventional new iPhones are more expensive and will help lift that Apple average. And from there, we'll have to adapt to consumer demand. That's the latest promise from Samsung themselves. 37,999 for its users.

It's funny how quickly things move in the tech world. It may also include facial recognition technology for unlocking the phone and wireless charging.

That's not great news for shoppers' budgets, but it's terrific for Apple investors.

Apple's iPhone 8 camera will, undoubtedly, make improvements to what's found on the iPhone 7.
