13 Setiembre 2017

Pre-orders start October 27 and the iPhone X will be available for sale starting November 3.

While the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are the next additions to the iPhone lineup, the tenth anniversary iPhone X is a whole new level altogether.

For starters, the new phone is pronounced "ten", not "X", at least according to Apple executives speaking about it on stage.

The iPhone X, featuring a display stretched across its screen and facial recognition, was touted as the "future of the smartphone" by Apple at the event - and it is fair to say people agreed it was indeed this which was the real change...

The back of the iPhone X, meanwhile, is outfitted with a glass casing that allows for wireless charging.

The Watch and TV will go on sale on September 22, alongside the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

"You can receive a call with just your watch", Apple's Jeff Williams told the event, where the company was set to announce a new range of iPhones. A11 Bionic also integrates an Apple-designed GPU with a three-core design that delivers up to 30 percent faster graphics performance than the previous generation. There is also the Portrait mode with Portrait Lighting on both the front and rear cameras brings dramatic studio lighting effects to iPhone. The new iPhones are incremental upgrades over the last year's iPhone 7. It'll come in two storage configurations - 64GB for $999, and 256GB for a whopping $1,149.

How much will the Apple AirPower mat cost? The smartphones are also equipped with stereo speakers placed on the top and bottom of the device for surround sound output.

On Tuesday, Apple unveiled new smartwatches, an Apple TV and the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus at a press event. Read on for more.

The iPhone X is made from stainless steel and glass, but the band is made of surgical grade stainless steel. The iPhone 8 Plus comes with dual 12-megapixel sensor with Portrait Mode (also includes Portrait Lighting) that delivers shallow depth-of-field effect in five different lighting styles. Pricing starts at $699 (iPhone 8, 64 GB) or $799 (iPhone 8 Plus, 64 GB).

As well as being used to unlock the device, Face ID technology can also be used to create Animoji - animated emoji controlled by the user's face.

Battery life is improved to 2 more hours than the iPhone 7 with Qi-certified wireless charging.
