Apple partners LG for foldable iPhone

Reports say Samsung is the sole supplier of OLED screens for the iPhone X because other companies, LG included, couldn't meet Apple's demand.

Brokerages expect Apple Inc. During the same period in the previous year, the firm posted $1.42 EPS.

Meanwhile, Samsung is exclusively supplying panels for the latest iPhone X - the first OLED iPhone.

On Sept. 27, the Wall Street Journal reported that production snags involving two Face ID components, nicknamed "Romeo" and "Juliet", were raising concerns that the iPhone X could encounter "extended shortages" after its release date. Not only is this new method of unlocking iPhones cooler, but it's also easier and safer. Apple had a net margin of 20.87% and a return on equity of 35.40%.

Several equities research analysts have recently commented on AAPL shares.

IBD'S TAKE: Apple stock has an IBD Composite Rating of 69, meaning it has outperformed 69% of stocks in key metrics over the past 12 months. Given the fact that the South Korean company has already been working for years on this project, this reasoning seems to be a little faulty, to say the least. The iPhone X, like many others in the market, is an all-screen, no-home button, notch-wielding device with dual cameras and wireless charging.

But those thinking of holding off on the iPhone X for a folding iPhone will be in for a wait. The sale was disclosed in a filing with the SEC, which is available at this link. While we recognize that the consideration to purchase an Apple Watch does not necessarily translate to a purchase, we see an upward bias to Street Apple Watch forecasts. LG has reportedly completed its own foldable OLED panel prototype and has been upgrading the durability and the yield rate. Insiders own 0.08% of the company's stock. 21,927,637 shares of the stock traded hands. Apple has a one year low of $104.08 and a one year high of $164.94. The firm currently has a $208.00 price target on the iPhone maker's stock.

The business also recently declared a quarterly dividend, which was paid on Thursday, May 18th.
