Atletico Madrid's Champions League exit is no failure: Coach Diego Simeone

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has revealed who he wants his former side to draw in the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

Whereas the Blues had to settle for a runners-up spot, finishing behind Roma in Group C, owing to the fact that the Londoners' final match ended as a draw against Atletico Madrid.

Conte says Chelsea fear no-one in Europe's elite club competition, but reckons the strength in depth of the domestic league makes winning the European Cup difficult for English clubs.

"Don't forget here this season is very tough".

Chelsea were already through to the knockout stages, but blew their chance to finish in first place and in theory earn an easier draw. Each Premier League side can be considered a contender for the Champions League this season. There was more angst to come for Chelsea in the closing minutes when Willian missed a sitter before Michy Batshuayi's stinging strike whistled wide.

Champions League action will continue Wednesday evening when the teams' fates in the last four groups will be decided.

The answer was provided by BT Sport's Des Kelly a few hours after the final whistle. It's 2009 and Barcelona are visiting Chelsea again. We are a top team too. As a result of these restrictions, the Blues would only be able to draw three teams in the round of 16 - Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain or Besiktas.

Group winners are drawn against second place sides and play away first, with the second legs at home.

Saul Niguez's header gave Atletico the lead. "Jan Oblak was fantastic today, he's had an amazing game".

"We have this really good team, a strong team". "We know we could play Barcelona or PSG". We should have won. The tournament wouldn't be the same without it.
