A Chinese tipster, citing a company insider, has claimed on social media site Weibo that the generic Galaxy S9 will be offered in two options - 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 4GB RAM+128GB storage. Earlier, there were speculations that the company would add the technology in the Galaxy S8 or Note 8.

It's not the first time we have come across reports of Samsung incorporating the optical fingerprint solution in its flagship phones. It means the Galaxy Note 9 owners will be able to unlock their handsets and authenticate payments by placing their finger on the screen. Both the smartphones will pack a 64GB of internal storage, which could be further expanded via micro SD card slot and both of them will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Recently, Samsung Galaxy S9 series' cover case images surfaced online revealing that the standard Galaxy S9 will have just one primary shooter on the back, whereas the S9+ will have a dual-camera sensor similar to the Galaxy Note8.

Other features such as a heart-rate sensor besides the camera module, wireless fast charging, water and dust resistance and USB Type C-port are expected on the Galaxy S9 duo. The chipset will come with onboard AI, and support 3D facial recognition for biometric authentication to take on Apple iPhone X's Face ID feature.

Koh also said that the company was planning to launch its foldable phone sometime next year. Judging by the image, it is certain that the upcoming smartphone will come with slimmer top and bottom bezels as compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Last year he told reporters in South Korea that the company was targeting a launch this year. It is slated to hit stores in mid-March.
