Fox On The Box: Coutinho may be in line for hard labour

13 Enero 2018

Coutinho's £142 million transfer to Barcelona has left the Reds short in midfield and Jurgen Klopp's side are looking at paying extra for the Guinean in order to bring forward his switch to Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho is not a Liverpool FC player but for the Anfield fans, the club has made a generous move.

The January transfer window can often be uneventful, with clubs not keen to sell midway through the season, and others unwilling to take a punt on new players.

21-year-old Maddison, who joined Norwich from Coventry City two years ago, has six goals and five assists to his name in the second tier this season.

RB Leipzig currently lie fifth in the Bundesliga, which resumes this weekend after the winter break, and want to keep Keita for a renewed push to qualify for the Champions League, as well as for their Europa League campaign, where they face Napoli in the last 32.

"Liverpool is no longer the same without you my magical brother", Firmino wrote on social media following his friend's departure to the Nou Camp.

Who is the most valuable player in the world? That's football, that's the business that we are in.

In the 13 league games since then, Liverpool has won nine and drawn the other four.

"I was at a big club previously and being at big one now, you know you are always going to have to perform under pressure". Obviously, Phil added to that, there is no doubt about that.

While Sky Sports quoted the German club as saying: "Current situation is that nothing changed".

Momentum is huge in football, and the Reds do not want to surrender it by losing Coutinho and waiting until the summer for Keita. "Right now, I am here for another six months, and I am open for everything".
