Kane hits brace as Tottenham put four goals past Everton

14 Enero 2018

The only other people to have achieved such a feat are the Premier League's number one and five all time top scorers.

And soon after it Everton were undone when a superb turn from Son on the left enabled him to run into the area and cross low for Kane - who appeared to be a fraction offside - to steer home a low finish. He was clearly the best Tottenham player on the pitch and finished the game with one goal and assist to his name.

"Sonny [Heung-Min] is flying and so is Harry". "I'm so happy because for us it was a game that we must win, a massive three points for us today".

In this photo taken by the EPA, Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min (L) celebrates after scoring a goal against Everton during the English Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton at Wembley Stadium in London on Jan. 13, 2018. Pickford kept the score down two more stops to deny Son and Alli but he was powerless to prevent the fourth from going in with eight minutes to go.

While Spurs maintained their recent surge in form, Everton slumped to their heaviest defeat under new manager Sam Allardyce. Yannick (Bolasie) is still coming back from an injury, James McCarthy is the same, so we'll have to be a little patient'.

The 4-0 success took Spurs up to fourth ahead of Liverpool on goal difference, with the Reds taking on leaders Manchester City overnight. "He has scored a lot of goals but his mentality is to help the team, work for the team, and that is what makes him a special player".

Doucoure turned the ball in with his hand as he stooped for a header but, with no video assistant referees in the Premier League, the goal stood and denied Southampton a first league win in 10 games. Oh, and of course, Spurs shouldn't give Gylfi Sigurdsson any space to shoot. Jordan Pickford will likely start in goal, with Jonjoe Kenny, Phil Jagielka and Cuco Martina all starting in defence and Ashley Williams may replace Mason Holgate in the center of defence.

Yet it was Son causing the mayhem and he had another effort hit the woodwork. The fullback hardly provided anything going forward and had a rather mediocre performance.

It capped an encouraging week for Spurs fans with chairman Daniel having insisted they will not sell the club's top stars befor emoving to their shiny new ground.

It's time for both the players and the manager to show their class. There's only one way to ensure this squad sticks together and that's by winning.
